Analysing and Diversifying Audience Participation with Creative Technologies and AI (ADAPT-AI)
ActiveDescription
Analysing and Diversifying Audience Participation with Creative Technologies and AI (ADAPT-AI) is an AHRC Doctoral Focal Award based in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King's College London, delivered in partnership with London South Bank University and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Announced in July 2025 as one of ten AHRC Doctoral Focal Awards, it funds a programme of doctoral research across four cohorts over seven years, with the first cohort entering in October 2026. Its work is organised around three themes, Audience Interfaces, Audience Interaction and Audience Integration, bringing together the creative industries, digital humanities, media production and performance practice to grow and diversify audiences across the creative economy. The programme collaborates with cultural and creative-technology partners including the Southbank Centre, Barbican Immersive, the National Gallery, the Royal Shakespeare Company and Serpentine Arts Technologies, and is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, part of UK Research and Innovation.
