The Centre for Data Science & AI is a University of Glasgow research centre that facilitates the initiation and expansion of sustainable collaboration across disciplines, industries, the public, and government to produce impactful research. It aims to promote effective, impactful, and ethical data science and AI, contributing to and delivering a better future. Its work is organised into six programmes: Data Science and AI for Arts and Humanities; Data Science and AI in Life Sciences; Data Science and AI in Physical Sciences and Engineering; Data Science and AI for Economic and Social Sciences; Science of Data Science and AI; and Data Science and AI for Impact and Innovation. A dedicated Programme Director for Arts and Humanities leads its arts and humanities work, which spans AI ethics, AI and society, and AI and the arts, including the Lovelace-Hodgkin Symposium on AI Ethics. The centre is a founding member of the Turing University Network.
