Human-Centred AI Network, University of Aberdeen
ActiveDescription
The Human-Centred AI Network at the University of Aberdeen supports interdisciplinary dialogue about the intersection of AI technologies and the roles humans play in their development, as decision-makers, end-users, affected parties, collaborators, and designers. Its areas of interest span linguistics, psychology, human creativity and culture, and policy; bias, discrimination, and the wider ramifications of generative AI; the social and legal implications of AI; the philosophical elements of AI; and AI-to-AI interactions. The network aims to enhance interdisciplinarity across these areas and to help develop interdisciplinary projects and funding proposals. It brings together researchers from disciplines including computing science, engineering, psychology, law, linguistics, philosophy, social sciences, health sciences, music, and medicine, and runs a programme of seminars and colloquia. It sits within the University of Aberdeen's Data and Artificial Intelligence interdisciplinary research theme.
