An independent think tank for the advancement of progressive thought about animals, the Centre comprises an international fellowship of academics drawn from the humanities and the sciences, and aims to place ethical concern for animals on the intellectual agenda while contributing to informed public debate. Its programme areas include animal ethics and law, religion and animals, the ethics of animal experimentation, humane education, animals and public policy, and animals and media.
