Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law
ActiveDescription
The Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law is an independent academic centre of competence dedicated to the study of fundamental rights for non-human animals, based in Cambridge, UK. Building on the Talking Animals, Law & Philosophy talk series, the Centre launched in 2019. It researches and publishes in the field of animal rights law; holds conferences and workshops for legal academics; teaches Animal Rights Law courses to students; supports law faculties at other universities internationally in offering their own courses; and offers talks for lay audiences. The Centre also runs Visiting Fellow and Visiting Researcher programmes, an annual essay competition for university and secondary school students, and a podcast on the past, present, and future of animal rights law.
