Climate Museum UK

Active

Description

Climate Museum UK is a Community Interest Company and collective of artists, educators and creative practitioners that helps people make sense of environmental issues and histories through creative conversations. It explores new methods and builds skills to engage people with what it terms the Earth crisis, running pop-ups and workshops in museums and community spaces across the UK and using art, stories and heritage sites to help people identify what they can do. Its guiding principle is being 'Possitopian' -- inspiring people to widen their imagination towards positive possibilities while raising awareness of the science and challenges ahead. Working with partners in the arts, science and heritage sectors, the collective delivers projects across the UK, places the Earth crisis in a context of history to open imaginations to better futures, and runs training for artists, educators and heritage professionals. It also maintains a digital collection of learning resources and story collections, and aims to operate as a resilient, distributed organisation seeding regenerative culture in local places.
