Collective Encounters
ActiveDescription
Collective Encounters is an arts charity specialising in theatre for social change. It uses creativity to build power within people and communities who are directly affected by poverty and inequality, and who experience barriers to inclusion, predominantly in the Liverpool City Region. The charity runs a free participatory theatre programme across the region, with opportunities for both young people and adults to take part. Its training events and resources are designed for artists, academics and activists at any stage of their career. Its creative participatory research approach is used by local authorities, NGOs, academic and other public agencies, enabling people to come together in critical inquiry to strengthen and develop their communities.
