REDRESS

Description

REDRESS is an international NGO that brings legal cases on behalf of survivors of torture worldwide. The organisation pursues justice and reparation through human rights, civil, and criminal cases, combining strategic litigation with advocacy, community engagement, and global partnerships to prevent torture and hold perpetrators accountable. Its three core techniques are holistic strategic litigation against torture, policy advocacy, and communications and media. REDRESS works in partnership with national civil society groups rather than opening its own offices, and currently runs over 60 active cases and projects in 38 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, the MENA region, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
