Centre for Crime and Justice Studies
ActiveDescription
The Centre for Crime and Justice Studies is an independent educational charity that advances public understanding of crime and criminal justice. It creates spaces for collaboration and learning in which conventional criminal justice policy agendas are scrutinised and challenged, fresh knowledge is discussed, and transformational solutions are developed. The Centre works with researchers, practitioners, policy specialists, activists, and service-users to deepen understanding of how the criminal justice system operates, to critique existing policy and practice, and to map routes to reform. It synthesises knowledge into publications, events and interventions, engaging with parliamentarians, journalists and opinion formers, and publishes the British Journal of Criminology.
