Description

Nesta is an independent research and innovation foundation based in the UK. The foundation designs, tests, and scales solutions to societal challenges across a 10-year strategy focused on three missions: improving life chances for children in their early years, halving obesity prevalence, and reducing household carbon emissions. Its work is driven by a multidisciplinary portfolio of innovation methods, including behavioural science, challenge prizes, collective intelligence, data engineering, data science, design, futures and foresight, policy, and software development. Nesta's Centre for Collective Intelligence applies technology, AI, arts, and design to scale public engagement, supporting more inclusive and informed decision-making on complex issues. The foundation also runs Mission Discovery, a foresight team that scans for emerging trends and technologies, and the Mission Studio, which builds mission-led start-ups. Nesta has a London headquarters and dedicated teams in Scotland and Wales.
