Cambridge Russian Studies is an academic programme of the Slavonic Section of the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge. It aims to promote the study of Russian and Russophone language, literature, film, culture, history, politics and thought, and to support the development of this study across the United Kingdom and worldwide.
At the heart of Cambridge Russian Studies is a dynamic team of scholars with expertise in Russian studies from the early modern, imperial and Soviet eras to the present day. The programme offers a wide array of undergraduate courses and houses a vibrant community of PhD and MPhil students. It is committed to interdisciplinary exchange with scholars at Cambridge and beyond, and regularly hosts public-facing events including an annual series of lectures by international scholars.
