Computational Humanities Lab (CHL)

Active

Description

The Computational Humanities Lab focuses on the interplay between world history and cultural evolution and the digital humanities and digital infrastructure. The infrastructure operates on the assumption that trends over longer timescales impact the world today in major ways and that a computational approach is warranted to study these trends. The Lab's research agenda includes building digital infrastructures to study world history and conduct deep driver analyses, integrating multilinguality within digital infrastructures, and analysing the role of religious tolerance in creating resilient and cohesive societies. It also seeks to build bridges with the policy world to ensure the uptake of generated insights.
