Aston University Archives Centre (AUAC)

Active

Description

The Aston University Archives Centre (AUAC) supports research and operates as a forum focused on documenting, preserving, and sharing Aston University’s history and the history of its predecessor institutions, alongside reflection on the creation and cataloguing of the Aston University Archives. The archives hold institutional records, publications, photographs, and objects, plus newspapers, brochures, materials connected to events and performances, campus maps, and visual records of the campus over time. The holdings also include records of the Students’ Union and related societies, as well as deposited materials contributed by members of the wider Aston community. The centre also documents and shares research, teaching, and other Aston activities, and provides a platform for research on how heritage can be preserved in the twenty-first century.
