The Sir Peter Rigby Digital Futures Institute is a multidisciplinary research hub that bridges academic research and industry. Its vision is to become a nationally leading digital technologies institute with a global reputation for research and innovation in AI, data science, and creative technologies - playing a key role in the economic regeneration and digital inclusion agenda of Birmingham and the West Midlands. To achieve this, the institute pursues three strategic aims: deliver high-impact digital science and technology solutions; bridge the digital skills gap; and promote digital inclusion.
