humanities for...
Description
humanities for... is a partnership for people and place; a collaborative enterprise for generating diverse, analytical thinking, decision-making and action
working with non-academic communities of interest we create spaces and material objects for sharing stories and new ideas to deepen and broaden public thought and perspective, coalescing around four themes: professional practice and public policy; tangible and intangible heritage and culture; place and placemaking; and purposeful writing
we bring a coherent and scaleable approach to knowledge mobilisation to place the humanities at the heart of decision-making by supporting, developing and building relationships for policymaking, community-led initiatives, industry challenges or civic missions
we support innovative adaptations of our curriculum by integrating research and knowledge exchange in our teaching so that we remain relevant and responsive to communities, staff and students alike, as illustrated through our annual 'heyday' autumn showcase
our humanities in practice lab, 'in the making', is redefining how our methodologies are understood and delivered for impact and innovation
we contribute to national advocacy on changing perceptions of the humanities as impactful areas of study and research
