Environmental Impact of Filmmaking research network

Description

The Environmental Impact of Filmmaking research network provides an interdisciplinary forum for researchers (broadly conceived, including but not limited to academics, students, industry practitioners, civil servants, etc.) to share findings, discuss methodologies, and collaborate on work relating to ecologies of audiovisual media.

Led by Dr Rebecca Harrison, the network emerged from the AHRC-funded Environmental Impact of Filmmaking project in 2022. It aims to support the work of early career researchers in particular via work-in-progress discussions and an associated blog. Members span the four nations and approach the network's central theme (mostly focusing on film, television, and computational media) from a range of perspectives. The group meets informally online once or twice per term, and welcomes new contributors.
