Creativity Lab

Description

The Creativity Lab, located in the Harry Fairhurst Building at the University of York, is a cutting-edge space for staff and students to explore emerging technologies.

Key Offerings:

  • Workshops & Teaching: Hands-on training, masterclasses, and tailored teaching in digital creativity, including multimedia tools like podcasting and video editing.
  • Drop-in Sessions: Open access to facilities for research, projects, and creativity, with media workstations available without booking.
  • One-to-One Support: Personalized guidance in 3D modelling, media creation, and digital tools.
  • Facilities & Equipment: High-end gaming workstations, creative software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Unreal, Unity), podcasting studio, AR/VR, and 360 filming.
  • Equipment Hire: Free borrowing of VR headsets, cameras, and audio gear for university members.
