Oxford Prospects and Global Development Institute (OPGDI)
Description
The Oxford Prospects and Global Development Institute (OPGDI) is an interdisciplinary research institute based at the Wolfson College site in Oxford, working collaboratively with colleges and departments across the University of Oxford community. It aims to promote discussion and inspire new ideas across boundaries of discipline, culture, nation and politics, convening students, scholars and practitioners around pressing global challenges.
Its activities include annual lectures, termly seminars and round-table dialogues, flagship interdisciplinary research initiatives, visiting scholar and research associate programmes, and international programmes for scholars, policy-makers and business leaders. Its research clusters include the Mo Yan International Writing Centre; Technology, Society and Ethics; Restorative Justice; the Chinese Heritage Project; the JALA Project; Social Governance and Poverty Reduction; and The Future of Humanities and AI.
