Centre for Museum Cultures

Description

Based in Birkbeck’s School of Arts, the Centre for Museum Cultures involves academics from across the College in various disciplines, including museology, history of art, media and culture studies, history, archaeology, English and humanities. It provides a hub for intellectual exchange and debate relating to all aspects of museology, curation and heritage. It hosts an annual programme of seminars, lectures and conferences involving academics and a wide range of museum professionals. It offers opportunities for Birkbeck students to meet members of the profession, and to engage in some of the most vital debates currently shaping the field.
