Kellogg College Centre for Creative Writing

Description

The Kellogg College Centre for Creative Writing cultivates a vibrant community of writers and researchers whose work transcends conventional boundaries of genre and culture. The Centre hosts a masterclass and a research seminar series. The research seminars, held twice per term, concentrate on contemporary topics of interest to practitioners and scholars of creative writing. They complement, yet remain distinct from, the Master of Studies in Creative Writing program.

Since its establishment, the Centre has garnered a strong reputation for its creative and intellectual excellence. In addition to its regular research activities, the Centre has co-sponsored the Poetry and Science competition with the Radcliffe Science Library, as well as Oxford Today's alumni short story competition. Furthermore, the Centre has collaborated with Blackwell to co-publish Initiate: An Oxford Anthology of New Writing, which showcases emerging writers from the MSt in Creative Writing, alongside established practitioners in fiction, poetry, and drama.
