The Centre for the Study of the Bible is an inclusive space that facilitates interdisciplinary exploration of the Bible within the academic community. Established in 2017 by Oriel College, its purpose is to revitalise and enrich biblical studies at the University of Oxford by fostering innovative research projects that integrate Jewish, Christian, and Islamic scriptural traditions into various disciplines of the Humanities. Since its inception, the Centre has garnered global recognition from esteemed research institutions.
The Centre's objectives can be summarised as follows
