Centre for Social Investigation (CSI)
Description
Established in 2014, the Centre for Social Investigation (CSI) focuses on addressing current social issues of public interest. It aims to engage with policy-makers and the general public by conducting authoritative, non-partisan research on key social matters including Social Progress, Mobility, and Inequality.
The Centre utilises expertise in economics, politics, sociology, and related fields like social policy. It regularly publishes concise briefing papers and reports that provide recommendations for policy-making and future research.
In 2017, CSI received a significant grant from the ESRC to conduct a project monitoring the evolving public opinions throughout the Brexit negotiations.
