India Oxford Initiative
Description
The India-Oxford Initiative (IndOx) is a cross-disciplinary academic platform at the University of Oxford, established to consolidate and expand the university's various collaborations with India. Initially set up informally in 2018, it was officially launched on 28 February 2020. IndOx functions as a nexus for students, academics, administrative staff, and external stakeholders, including Indian academics, donors, and partners.
IndOx commemorates all aspects of India and the subcontinent within the University of Oxford. It strives to encapsulate and communicate the spectrum of India-related activities at the University to a global audience.
The Initiative is managed by the India-Oxford Strategy Board (SB), a university-wide entity comprising representatives from all five divisions - Humanities; Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS); Social Sciences; Medical Sciences Division; Gardens, Libraries and Museums (GLAM) - along with key colleges that express an interest in India.
