Centre for Catalan Studies Queen Mary University of London

Description

The Centre for Catalan Studies is the only university centre in the United Kingdom dedicated to research into the culture of all areas where Catalan is spoken. It promotes scholarship relating to Catalan art, history, literature, theatre, film, music and popular culture. The Centre organizes a wide range of activities including

  • The Queen Mary Catalan Seminars
  • The Queen Mary Annual Catalan Lecture
  • Conferences and workshops
  • Theatre productions, poetry readings and musical recitals

The Centre for Catalan Studies provides a London base for visiting researchers outside the UK and also runs the Balearic Islands Doctoral Studentship.
