James Hilton Society

Description

The aims of the Society are to promote interest in the life and work of novelist and scriptwriter James Hilton (1900 - 1954).  The inaugural meeting of the the Society took place in Cambridge in September 2000 to mark the centenary of James Hilton's birth.
The Society issues three Newsletters each year as well as a biennial "Hiltonian" in which more detailed articles considering aspects of Hilton's work are published.

Every Year the Society also holds a Spring Meeting as well as an Annual Meeting in the Autumn, normally at Hilton's old school, the Leys, in Cambridge, when Hilton's novels and films are discussed.

The Society is encouraged that a number of Hilton's works have recently been republished - The Silver Flame, Storm Passage, Terry and, most recently, Knight Without Armour, for which the Society was asked to provide a Foreword.
