Society for the History of Women in the Americas (SHAW)

The Society for the History of Women in the Americas is a diverse scholarly association dedicated to the historical investigation related to the history of women and gender non-conforming individuals in the Americas. Founded in 2008, it was originally named BHWAs. It was renamed in 2011 to reflect a broader membership across the globe. SHAW encourages anyone interested in the history of women and gender in the Americas to support the association and to become part of this vibrant scholarly community.
