Advisory Council on Latin American and Iberian Information Resources (ACLAIIR)
Description
What is ACLAIIR? ACLAIIR is the Advisory Council on Latin American and Iberian Information Resources. The aim of the group is to provide information about our subject area, collaborate with other groups to advance research in our field, and to promote discussion with users of Latin American and Iberian library materials.
Why should I join? ACLAIIR is a great way to become connected to other people in the Latin American and Iberian field. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Latin American and Iberian studies. Currently the group includes librarians, researchers, students and others with an interest in any aspect of Latin American and Iberian studies.
What does ACLAIIR do? ACLAIIR has held events on topics such as digital resources in Hispanic Studies, 21st century fiction from Iberia and Latin America, Open Access publishing, e-Books, Digital Humanities and Translation Studies. Our aim is to bring together individuals with common interests and to share expertise in the field. Some of our events have resulted in successful research collaborations.
How can I get involved? We are keen to expand our group as much as possible and improve resources for those in our field. Join us and help organise and promote events, write for our blog, or make suggestions for new projects!
