Creativity Lab

Description

SIGN links firms, support institutions, and universities via a scheme of training, enterprise development, investigation, and assessment. In collaboration with the University of York Library, SIGN has inaugurated the Creativity Lab, located in the Harry Fairhurst Building on the University of York's West campus.

The Creativity Lab, accessible to businesses, scholars, and students, is an adequately furnished venue, enabling participants to engage with and learn about upcoming technologies within the screen industries. The Lab provides training events, including introductory workshops, facilitating engagement with new technologies.

The programme includes masterclasses and residencies, promoting deep-dive exploration of digital creativity areas and offering opportunities to apply newfound skills under industry expert guidance. Every Monday, the Lab is accessible to University of York staff and students for digital creativity. Participants can utilise the Lab's modern facilities for research, creative idea development, or merely gaining knowledge about emerging technologies.

Additionally, the Lab hosts DigiCreate sessions on alternate Fridays from 10am – 1pm, offering participants expert technical guidance and support.
