Early Career Researchers (ECR) Network

Description

The SIGN Early Career Researchers (ECR) Network aims to establish a community of scholars focused on screen industries. It provides career development support, facilitates development of publication strategies and writing practices, enhances research ideas and projects, and encourages the exchange of teaching resources.

The ECR Network is designed for early career researchers seeking to develop their academia, research, teaching, and skillsets, including PhD researchers, postdoctoral researchers, independent researchers, newcomers to research regardless of career stage, and teaching staff keen on enhancing their research abilities.

SIGN invites researchers interested in exploring diverse aspects of screen industries, such as film, television, video games, animation and other digital sectors, ranging from the political economy of specific screen industries to creative labour, cultural policy, and audience studies. SIGN invites expressions of interest regarding participation and contribution to the ECR Network's growth.
