Centre for Humanities Innovation (CHI)
Description
The Centre for Humanities Innovation (CHI) strives to cultivate intellectual creativity in scholarship and research, endorsing the generation of fresh ideas, paradigms, and other intellectual constructs. While it acknowledges the significance of accumulating knowledge, CHI primarily focuses on how this knowledge can inspire innovative modes of thought within the Humanities.
CHI promotes transformative and experimental methodologies in the Humanities, emphasising the exploratory process of research over its completion. It fosters the creation of preliminary drafts for further development by peers and encourages the proposition of hypotheses, regardless of whether they are proven or enacted.
CHI offers a multifaceted environment to nurture intellectual growth in the Humanities, adapting to the fast-paced intellectual climate of the twenty-first century. The Centre's platforms include Minima, an online journal of intellectual 'micro-genres', a 'Repository of New Ideas', 'Tasks of the Humanities', in addition to seminars, workshops, and collective improvisations covering a broad range of humanities-related topics.
The Centre regularly updates on new ideas, terms, methodological advancements in the humanities, and upcoming events, conferences, and seminars.
