Transport, Mobility and Cities Initiative
Description
Urban sustainability has become a global priority, but tackling it in the most densely populated places on earth, cities, is an enormous challenge. Equally difficult is understanding how cities can be protected from sudden shocks, and make them resilient enough to ensure they can contribute to sustainable societies. Finding the answers to these challenges can only be accomplished through interdisciplinary and collaborative research effort, which is what is offered at Transport, Mobility and Cities at Nottingham.
The University of Nottingham is at the forefront of smart transport and mobility innovation within a future city context. Transport, Mobility and Cities activity spans the whole University, including world-leading expertise from more than 100 staff from 26 different schools, departments and groups in all 5 faculties. Members work closely with over 100 external national and international stakeholders. Through this strong and established network members share knowledge, learning and data to develop holistic solutions across the transport, mobility and cities domains.
