Landscape Space Place Research Group (LSPRG)
Description
The Landscape, Space, Place Research Group (LSPRG) is an interdisciplinary forum that brings together staff and postgraduate students from across the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, and Engineering.
Shared interests in the cultures of place and landscape are pursued from a wide range of disciplinary perspectives, including those of geography, literary studies, art history, architecture, archaeology, and music.
The group runs a seminar series, lively reading group sessions, and an Annual Postgraduate Workshop attracting speakers from all over Britain and Ireland. Its main objective is to serve as a hub – within the university and beyond – for innovative, interdisciplinary research that responds in fresh ways to the ongoing ‘spatial turn’ in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
