Kirby Laing Centre for Public Theology in Cambridge (KLC)
Description
"Christian scholarship and public theology, rooted in spirituality and practised in community, for the glory of God and the flourishing of the church and world."
KLC is based in beautiful Cambridge, UK, and is an associate member of the Cambridge Theological Federation. We are comprised of a community of research fellows and public members, and we host academic hubs and seminars in a range of academic and professional disciplines. Our aim is to nurture and produce high-quality research that fully integrates faith with vocation, and that promotes Christ's Lordship in all domains of life.
KLC's community life is expressed in person at our Annual Conference in June in Cambridge, and our Scripture Collective's Annual Meal held at SBL in the USA each November. We host regular prayer meetings and events online, and we facilitate connections between our fellows.
Our research output is expressed in a range of in-house publications, a Scripture Collective publishing series with Zondervan Academic, and the various individual publishing projects of our hubs and members. Our main contribution to public theology is made by means of The Big Picture magazine, our beautiful and inspiring collection of stories, artworks, and ideas produced by our international community. TBP is produced three times a year and is available for free digital download or (in certain regions) to buy in print.
