Leather Conservation Centre
ActiveDescription
The Leather Conservation Centre (LCC) was founded in 1978 with the aim to conserve historical leathers and create a hub for research, education and development within conservation.
The LCC has a long history of being at the forefront of research in the field of leather conservation and restoration. The LCC takes a critical approach to all projects and regularly carries out in-house research as part of these. The LCC also carries out and collaborates in large-scale research initiatives to find solutions to defining issues in leather conservation. Testing has been carried out on new leathers, adhesives, consolidants and finishes used in leather conservation.
