Description
The Centre for Sustainability, Responsibility, Governance and Ethics (SURGE) aims to bring together researchers, organisations, and communities with a passion for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050. To achieve these objectives, the Centre recognises the need to reduce carbon emissions and move beyond 'business-as-usual.'
Research in SURGE covers a range of substantive topics, including but not limited to: Alternative economic models, sustainable production and consumption, food system transformation, sustainable livelihoods, business and financial ethics, ethical marketing, governance, regulatory and legal issues beyond the corporate world, equality of opportunity, public sector communication, lobbying and public affairs.
Research clusters include: Governance, Responsibility and Ethics (GRE) Sustainable and Resilient Communities Net Zero and Climate Change
