Geoarcheology (ARCA)

Description

ARCA is a specialist geoarchaeological contractor offering a range of services for developers, commercial archaeologists, curatorial and academic clients.

ARCA was founded in 2005 and is based in the Department of Archaeology, Anthropology and Geography at the University of Winchester. Highly trained specialist staff combine academic expertise with experience of delivering high-quality commercial solutions.

Being linked to an academic department, ARCA have access to a wealth of specialist knowledge, whilst maintaining active links to cutting-edge research. At the departmental base, there are dedicated laboratory facilities and a full range of specialist drilling, survey and analytical equipment.

As a UK-based specialist geoarchaeological contractor, ARCA is proud to be recognised as a Registered Organisation by the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA).

Professional standards are at the heart of its approach, and give clients the confidence to rely on ARCA to provide a comprehensive professional and scientifically rigorous service.
