Climate Change, Energy Policy and Sustainability Research Group
Description
The research group on Climate Change, Energy Policy and Sustainability was established in 2021 to draw together relevant research initiatives being undertaken by researchers in the Schools of Law, Politics and International Relations, and Psychology.
Members of the group investigate aspects of the dilemmas presented by the ‘energy transition’, broadly understood as a response to the imperatives of climate change.
The group creates a platform for building and consolidating research networks, for developing multidisciplinary projects, and for organising collaborative events and activities.
Members of the group have expertise in, inter alia, the following areas:
- Climate Change Negotiations, and other Multilateral Environmental Agreements
- Democracy, Climate Activism and Climate Assemblies
- Climate Change Communication
- International Law on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services
- Energy Security and International Relations
- Energy Poverty and Energy Justice
- Markets, Institutions and Regulations
