Description

The Quantitative and Analytical Political Economy Research Centre (QAPEC) at the University of Warwick organises collaborative research in quantitative and analytical political economy. It liaises with both domestic and international partners such as PolEconUK, EPEC, PSPE-LSE, and QAPS at Princeton, using various platforms including informal meetings, research seminars, and international conferences.

QAPEC strives for research excellence in its field, fostering impactful interdisciplinary collaborations. As a founding member of the UK consortium PolEconUK, the European Political Economy Consortium (EPEC), and a partner of Princeton University's QAPS and the London School of Economics' Political Science and Political Economy group, QAPEC's presence is global.

QAPEC aims to enhance its international reputation for research excellence in quantitative and analytical political economy. It seeks to engage with the research community both within and beyond the university, with a view to broadening exposure and increasing the dissemination of research. By supporting collaborations with UK and international research networks, QAPEC addresses research challenges in its field and improves chances of securing research income.

QAPEC also focuses on promoting a positive work ethos, providing training and a conducive environment to boost personal development opportunities for all its members. It organises weekly seminars, regular workshops and conferences, creating interdisciplinary events that unite economists, political scientists, and academics from related fields.
