Social Theory Centre

Description

The Social Theory Centre, established in 1997, is dedicated to the advancement and dialogue of social theory. It is situated in the Sociology Department, encompassing members from an array of humanities and social sciences disciplines. Core activities include the orchestration of symposia, workshops, the Authority and Political Technologies network, and early-career training events. Members also manage significant social theory websites such as Global Social Theory and Critical Legal Thinking. Furthermore, the centre serves as a vital hub for faculty and students participating in the MA programme in Social and Political Thought.
