Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM)

Description

The Warwick-based Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM), established in 2012, aims to advance innovative, experimental knowledge generation with an intense emphasis on methodology. CIM diligently augments the significance of interdisciplinary methods, forging new areas of study that transcend intellectual and institutional disciplines. The centrality of method in the development and transformation of disciplinary knowledge presents both a stimulating and urgent cross-disciplinary challenge.

Composed of specialists from the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences, CIM's research team boasts proficiency in numerous domains. For training 21st-century researchers, CIM offers a range of advanced postgraduate programmes, including MA in Digital Media and Culture, MSc in Big Data and Digital Futures, MASc in Visualisation, and a PhD programme in Interdisciplinary Studies.

CIM champions interdisciplinary research within and beyond Warwick, and also extends its reach beyond academia. It fosters new public engagement forms, liaising with potential research users as well as business, civil society and government entities leading applied methodological innovation.
