Surrey Morphology Group (SMG)
Description
The Surrey Morphology Group (SMG) is a research centre dedicated to the science of human language. Our research combines grammatical analysis with computational, evolutionary and experimental methods. SMG members conduct fieldwork, create scientific software, pioneer large-scale open datasets and advance linguistic theory. SMG is home to Canonical Typology, a multivariate method for the sophisticated articulation of empirical linguistic diversity. SMG has received funding from the European Research Council, the Economic and Social Research Council, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the British Academy and the Leverhulme Trust, among others.Offers funding
