SunGen Interdisciplinary Research Network

Description

The SunGen Network, established in 2015, is a research-focused body at the University of Sunderland aimed at fostering collaboration among scholars and staff interested in gender and sexuality studies. The network comprises emerging and seasoned academics, as well as other university personnel interested in gender matters. This inclusive nature enables the network to maintain a pragmatic approach to its activities.

The network has four primary objectives:

  • To strengthen interdisciplinary ties among scholars interested in gender and sexuality within the university.
  • To cultivate a vibrant research culture in the field of gender and sexuality studies.
  • To facilitate debates and provide a platform for idea exchange.
  • To develop a connection between scholars and students in the field of gender and sexuality studies.
