The Digital Health and Wellness Research Group (DHaWG) is an interdisciplinary assembly that consolidates proficiency from numerous areas including computer and information sciences, artificial intelligence, data science, human factors, health services research, clinical trials, behaviour alteration, and health and social care.
DHaWG specialises in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of real-world digital health and care solutions. The Group operates with a user-centred approach and forms close partnerships with major stakeholders like citizens, patients, NHS, social care, industry, and government, producing smart and interconnected digital health and care technologies that positively affect individuals, communities, and large-scale organisations.
DHaWG's key competencies include adopting a comprehensive approach to health and wellbeing, expertise in co-design and co-production methodologies, and creating robust strategies for real-world evaluations of digital health at scale in various settings. The Group's proficiency covers the technology readiness pathway from conception to commercialisation, focusing on real-world impact.
DHaWG collaborates on a national and international level, and is involved in numerous projects with worldwide reach. The Group has received funding from Horizon 2020/Europe, CSO, MRC, EPSRC, Innovate UK, ESRC, and AHRC.
