Centre for Health Policy

Description

The Centre for Health Policy was established in 2014 as a part of the International Public Policy Institute. They received support from Alec Morton of Management Science. From 2019 onwards, it found its base in Strathclyde's School of Social Work and Social Policy. As of 2023, the centre is jointly led two academics, under the guidance of an Advisory Board comprising senior policymakers and representatives from public sector entities and charities. The centre's founders maintain close involvement as it pursues its strategic objectives.

The centre's activities are embedded within numerous high-calibre initiatives at Strathclyde, providing unrivalled opportunities for its staff, partners, students, and external collaborators. As a leading technological institution with a socially progressive ethos, the University of Strathclyde emphasises Health and Wellbeing as one of its strategic themes.
