Centre for French History and Culture
Description
The St Andrews Centre for French History and Culture, established in 2005, bolsters the university's competence in French history. The Centre serves as an intellectual and social hub for individuals engaged in any field or period pertaining to French and Francophone history and culture.
The Centre proactively arranges and aids a broad scope of research seminars, 'salons', international workshops, and conferences. In collaboration with peers in Scotland and France, the Centre is part of an interdisciplinary postgraduate research network. These diverse efforts contribute to advancing the study of French and Francophone history and culture among staff, visiting scholars, and students of varying educational stages.
