Institute for Bible, Theology, and Hermeneutics

Description

The Institute for Bible, Theology, and Hermeneutics aims to mitigate fragmentation within the realm of Divinity. It fosters intra-disciplinary dialogue among biblical studies, theology, hermeneutics, and scripture interpretation, aspiring for a cohesive discipline capable of participating in cross-disciplinary research. Centred around the study of general hermeneutical theory and practice, the Institute is forward-thinking and eager to tackle contemporary issues whilst simultaneously drawing insight from and enhancing comprehension of historical scripture encounters.

Established in 2009, the Institute provides formal recognition to research on Scripture and Theology related to St Mary's School of Divinity.
