In the past decade, the Centre for the Study of Journalism and History has earned a reputation as a nexus for interdisciplinary research into journalism and history. It has hosted over ten international conferences, fostering dialogue among experts from more than 20 nations on utilising journalism to interpret the past and shed light on public discourse, language, and the public sphere. The Centre has a keen interest in creating robust methodologies for harnessing digital journalism archives.
With a vibrant postgraduate research community and an array of digital and physical resources, the Centre invites applications relevant to its ongoing research. It extends its influence beyond academia, regularly participating in media discussions and welcoming enquiries from media professionals.
