Alongside specialists in Ancient History, the Mediterranean Archaeology Research Group's archaeologists are learning more about this fascinating period of development in the Mediterranean, collaborating on an impressive range of projects across both Ancient and Classical Greece, Ancient Rome and the Near East including research in Egypt.

Projects include: Aqaba Castle, Jordan; Classical and Hellenistic mosaics; The city of Ramla, AD c. 715–1917; Domestic space in Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic Greece; Early glass in Egypt; Faience production in Roman Memphis (Egypt); Function and social role of pottery in Crete from 1200 to 600 BC; Greek commensality in context; Iuvanum Survey Project; Mediterranean networks and agents of transformation: a discussion forum; Seljuq tile production at Kubad Abad, Turkey; The Anubieion Catacombs at Saqqara (Egypt); The Churches of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem; The Praisos project: material culture and ethnicity in Early Iron Age to Hellenistic Crete; The Sacred Animal Necropolis at North Saqqara (Egypt); The walls of Ascalon: a historical and architectural assessment.
