Centre for the Study of Cultural Memory (CCM)
Description
The Centre for the Study of Cultural Memory (CCM), at the Institute of Languages, Cultures and Societies (ILCS), promotes and facilitates national and international research in memory studies. It provides a forum for modern linguists, literary scholars, historians, cultural critics, sociologists, practising artists and others with an interest in the research and study of memory.
The Centre for the Study of Cultural Memory organises and hosts a programme of seminars, conferences, and workshops, including the Cultural Memory Seminar. It also provides a range of web-based resources such as podcasts and recordings of previous events, an international bibliography in memory studies, an events listing, as well as managing the Cultural Memory Jisc-mailing list (see links below).
A vibrant community of Visiting Fellows and PhD students enhance the centre’s work, and contribute to its activities and resources.
