Parenthood and Creativity Research Group

Description

The Parenthood and Creativity Research Group is interested in the relationship between practice based arts and humanities, the creative impulse and experiences of early parenthood, maternity and paternity.

Interests include:

  • Parenthood and creative writing
  • Parenthood and fine art practice
  • Miscarriage and baby loss
  • Pregnancy and fertility experiences
  • Creativity in young children

This is a new group (as of 2022) and meet monthly to discuss ideas. This group aims to develop both impact and external funding projects.

This group welcomes prospective PhD students and new members who are interested in the above areas, as well as any other aspects of parenthood and creativity.

This group also welcomes new members from any discipline area and also welcome interdisciplinary approaches.
